December!

Wow, I cannot believe that December is almost gone! I have done very little craft-wise this month, because of a two and a half week trip back home for Christmas. The only thing I did was scrap 4 pages with the new December kit by Gina Marie Huff. I scrapped the first in the airport waiting for our connection, then did 3 more pages one of the first days of my trip. :) This collection was perfect to scrap some of my December pictures! Here's the new goodies Gina put together:

For an alpha junkie like me, these alphas are heaven!!

And here are my pages:

I had hoped to have more free time during my trip (I was planning to take detailed pictures of my December Daily album... but I haven't been able to do that, so that will have to wait until I catch up with other things now that I'm back home!). But of course I'm not complaining, it was good to see friends and family! I love this last picture of my parents & me. :)

Christmas Cards: Mission Accomplished!

Last week I finished the last Christmas cards I needed. They turned out quite pretty! :) Since then, all my (little) free time has gone in putting together the December Daily album (which is now 99% complete), so look out to see some pages of that soon. :) I'm actually not looking forward to taking pictures of all the pages I made - there are so many! So the plan is to take pictures after I've added photos and journaling, not of the blank pages.
Anyway, here's my 3 last cards:

I actually added some liquid pearls to decorate the tree, but don't have a picture of that. Sorry! :)
Then I made a print only card:

And the last one:

This is my favorite; it was my first time using Martha Stewart's micro beads - so pretty!

December Has Arrived

December has arrived, and my December Daily album is not ready yet. :) But it's almost there! Yesterday I spent the day creating & cutting.

Dec Daily bits

Fun, fun!! ;)

50% Sale!

Today there is a 50% off sale in Molly DeCrow's store!! And she has a new set of templates out today too!

If you're a follower of this blog, you know I'm not much of a template person. Not at all. I like to just throw pictures on the page and let them go where they want to. :) But I have to say I truly enjoyed using the new templates by Molly - they made it really easy and quick to scrap all these pictures from DH's birthday!
They are also sold individually.

I combined them with this gorgeous kit (which of course is 50% off to today!):

Here are my pages:

So yeah, this week instead of working on my December Daily album I scrapped. ;) But now I'm going to focus on the album - I have just a few days to get it done!!

Black Friday!

Are you braving the crowds looking for the best deals, or are you lazy like me and prefer online shopping? :)
Either way, I hope you enjoy this Black Friday without getting stressed out.

Check out the new products Jenn Barrette has in her stores today: three fabulous collabs!
First off, a fantastic kit with Zoe Pearn:

I used it to make a card for DH's birthday:

Then a triple scoop:

This kit is adorable! Here's a photo-less page I made with it:

10 Things I Love Right Now

I had fun creating the little monster! :)
Finally, a collab with Pink Reptile Designs - I loooove the retro colors and patterns!

It was perfect to scrap this picture of DH I had been saving:

I Don't Feel Good

Have a nice day!

Merry and Bright

Happy Black Friday! Have you seen the amazing deals at ScrapMatters?

Being on a Christmas mission :),  I picked this new release by geniaBeana scraps:

O Christmas Tree

Since I decided to do Christmas cards after all (for family only), here's another one I worked on during the weekend:

Oh how I love Stickles!
It certainly looks like I'm only doing Christmas-y stuff lately: either cards or December Daily! ;) And I am having so much fun at it! :) But I also feel like I'm running out of time, so I am really glad for this long Thanksgiving weekend.

Counting Down to Christmas

Jenn Barrette has a new kit in the store today (and it's 20% off) and let me tell you - it's absolutely fabulous!!

I love the color scheme! The papers are so yummy, and the elements are adorable! I made a card with it last night:

I had decided not to make Christmas cards, but with such a pretty kit, I couldn't resist. :) So yeah, I will be making Xmas cards after all. ;)
This kit is just perfect for my Daily December album too!! I already printed out a few bits (the wordstrips are not all shown and they are so cute!! I printed out a few that are perfect for me: shopping, wrapping gifts, family recipe, craft time, traditions, family time, watching movies). I will make a couple of pages for my album soon. :)

Early Christmas Gift

Well, guess who made it on Molly DeCrow's CT? ;) Yaaaay! :) And just in time for the release of this gorgeous Christmas collab with her mom, Rebecca McMeen:

This kit is so beautiful, and I'm falling in love with it more and more as I scrap with it. I have done 2 pages last night, and I am itching to do some hybrid with some of the other papers I haven't used yet.

A Chance of Flurries

I have put together two new pages for my December Daily album this week using a fabulous new release by Jenn Barrette and Mandabean (20% off today!):

The pictures really don't do these pages justice (they're so pretty!!), but here's what I made. Page 7:

Line It Up: Templates v. 1 by Krisi's Kreations

And page 8 (I actually haven't printed the date insert yet so for now the 8 is just sitting on the right hand page):

The silhouette works really great for making alphas. I usually cut three copies of each letter and glue them together to get a nice thick alpha. So fun! I made the 8 this way. And for the mittens, I glued together 2 copies so they have a nice thickness.

Falalalala

So have you survived DSD? I didn't spend much time online, because I wanted to spend time with DH who is finally back home after 2 weeks of traveling, and I also wanted to make progress on my December daily album. I have made progress (still not much - 5 pages only! - but it's coming along) and I can confirm once again that the Silhouette machine is my best purchase E.V.E.R. I am totally in love!
Here's a few sneak peeks of what I have accomplished this weekend:

Snow Much Fun by Mari Koegelenberg Creations
Line It Up: Templates v. 1 by Krisi's Kreations

Retro Christmas by Michelle Coleman

Very Merry by Britt-ish Designs and DeCrow Designs

I also bought my first paper kit ever (you can see it in action in the top picture: the green paper)! Well, not a kit but some bits and pieces: a 6x6 paper pad and some adorable chipboard accents. From this collection. I've been drooling over it ever since the first projects with it were posted back in July.
So, from digi to paper? ;) No, my album is still mainly hybrid, but it really is super convenient to be able to add in a few double sided pages without having to print out my own and glue them together. :) Plus, it's such a pretty, pretty collection! I've been craving something like this in digi ever since I saw it, but haven't found it.

I'm seriously starting to wonder what I am going to do when this album will be completed. I mean, how in the world am I going to find the courage to cover up these pretty pages with photos and journaling bits?? They are so cute just as they are! :) Seriously! I'm thinking I'm going to write in very tiny handwriting, and maybe add pictures on extra pages? Hmmm...
I'm still not 100% sure that I will be able to finish this project, because it's taking me a lot of time and December is getting so close!, but I sure hope so because I'm loving it so far!

DSD Blog Train

Happy DSD!! :-) And welcome to another stop of the ScrapMatters blog train.
ScrapMatters is having a great celebration for Digital Scrapbooking Day, including a fantastic sale, a gorgeous free with $20 purchase collab kit Many Thanks, games, chats, speed scraps... you name it, it's happening this weekend at ScrapMatters! ;)

The designers have some fabulous new products in the store and I am really in love with this huge collab, it is just beautiful!

Since the theme of this blog train is Thankfulness, I wanted to share something I am grateful for today. I am grateful for having a loving husband who takes care of me and makes me laugh and puts up with all my scrapbooking time. :) He also does special things for me, and I want to tell you about the most recent one. He has been traveling for work these past two weeks, but last week he hid a gift for me in the house. It's a bracelet he made for me:

Many Thanks collab by the ScrapMatters Design Team

Isn't that sweet? So it looks like I'm no longer the only one in the family putting together handmade gifts. ;)

Anyway, here is the little something I created for you:

I hope you like it, so please leave me a comment if you do! :)
This freebie will be available only for one week, so grab it quick! [ETA: 11/13 this freebie is no longer available, thanks for your interest]

It's time to keep riding the blog train. You should have come here from Liz's blog and now you can head off to Tanya's blog to pick up your next goodie! If you get lost, just head back to the ScrapMatters blog.

Make sure you check out the special DSD section in the forum so you don't miss out on all the fun games and events that the team has organized! ;) You will find a schedule there too.

Are You Ready?!?

I don't even know where to start to show you all the fabulous products Jenn has in the store today!! And the best news is that everything is 30% off!
She is also guesting at Zig Zag Scrap this month, so she has a few kits there too. I will start by showing you what she has at the Sweet Shoppe.

The colors and textures of this kit are unbelievably yummy! Here is my page with it:

Ready for more? :) Here's a new collab kit Jenn has with Kristin Cronin-Barrow:

And my page:

Journaling:
As my life has gotten busier and busier during the past year, I find myself assigning priorities to the stuff I need to do and to the stuff I want to do.
Sometimes giving up something frees time for other things I care more about. And I am less stressed out because I accept that I cannot get it all done.

Jenn is also finally re-releasing some of my favorite products of hers. This collab with Captivated Visions:
